Happy New Years Bokeh technique

Happy New Year!
I figure there is no better time than New Years to start my blog. I am brand new to all this and  just learning all about this blogging so please be patient.  I also thought no better way to start than with a New Years Card.
These cards are done with the Bokeh technique. So what is Bokeh?
Wikipedia defines it as: In photography, bokeh (Originally /?bo?k?/, /?bo?ke?/ BOH-kay — also sometimes pronounced as /?bo?k?/ BOH-k?, Japanese: [boke]) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light”.
BokehThis is one example of a Bokeh photograph.
Bokeh makes photographs visually appealing, forcing us to focus our attention on a particular area of the image. The word comes from Japanese language, which literally translates as “blur”.
A similar effect can be captured using inks and stamping...
This is one card using this technique, Blackberry Bliss ink, Making Spirits Bright Stamp Set and  the NEW Chalk Inks from Stampin’ Up.

I will post the whole list of supplies shortly. For now I am taking one thing at a time.
